Hello I have just discovered your beautiful tumblr after following your blog for some time now. I always enjoy your well considered and timeless pieces. If you don't mind me asking where is the red skirt in your recent posts from? Thanks :)
Thankyou so much, you are way too kind! If you mean the short, denim skirt in my last few tumblr posts it was purchased in the ‘Boutique by Jaeger’ sale via John Lewis (it is also available via Asos and Jaeger). I actually have two of these: a larger size which is great for going bare legged without tights (reaches my knees) and a shorter size 8 (in my pics) which is perfect with tights. I would say they fit true to size in general. x
“Something which really struck me the last time I was in Paris, which previous posters have mentioned: how older women (I am talking 40s, 50s, 60s etc.) continue to maintain nice figures, beautiful hair styles, manicures, makeup, and dress stylishly and even with a bit of tasteful and appropriate sexiness. They dress to reflect their belief that they are still beautiful and sexy, which of course they are. And in a way that is not “mutton dressed as lamb”. Something that irks me about American culture is the rabid worship of youth, and how the beauty and sensuality of older women is not celebrated and appreciated, either in the media or in real life.”—
Hello ! I just wanted to tell you that I really like your blog and that I constantly check it for inspiration. It is so refreshing to see someone owning a true style and not always following every new trend. Not only your style is interesting but also your way of thinking regarding issues such as consumerism. I honestly wish you all the best. Jenny.
Wow! That’s such a compliment, thankyou so much! I always feel that my outfits appear so boring in photo’s…..so glad you like the blog too! x
